Highlights                            

  • Light rainfall is expected over North KPK and G.B during current week. However there may be cloudiness over southern parts and adjoining areas of Balochistan and Sindh province.
  • The rainfall spell may be extend up to central parts of the country during next week (26 April – 02 May 2026) with light convective activity over western parts of the region Pakistan.
  • Above than 35℃ is expected lower Punjab and upper Sindh during current week, while during second week major parts of Punjab, Upper Sindh and adjoining areas of Balochistan will be under high temperature at day time.
  • During the current week, the likelihood of heatwave conditions is low, as temperatures are expected to remain below the 40 °C threshold. However, in the following week, areas including Multan, Bahawalnagar, Bahawalpur, Sukkur, and Larkana divisions may experience heatwave conditions.

Impacts

  •  In high temperature area there may be dehydration and heatstroke especially among children and elderly people busy in outdoor activities.
  • Electricity demand expected to increase significantly in urban areas due to higher cooling requirements at day time.
  • Crop stress may intensify particularly in southern Punjab.
