Training session on Capacity Building and Skill Development in the Field of Agro meteorology(February 11 to February 13, 2026)
On February 13, 2026, a ceremony was held to distribute certificates for the Second phase of a three-day Agromet Training program. The Director General, Mr. Sahibzad Khan, served as the chief guest at the closing session of the event. This training, conducted by the National Agromet Center (NAMC) of the Pakistan Meteorology Department (PMD) from February 11 to February 13, 2026, aimed to build capacity in agrometeorology among the technical staff from Agromet observatories located in Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, and Gilgit Baltistan. The program sought to enhance the quality of Agromet data by providing trainees with opportunities to participate in various activities, including practical demonstrations and observations related to soil and crops.
